Are we sadly repeating 1964?

This combination of perspectives is striking  From the easel of Norman Rockwell in 1964, and the lens of a Whitehouse photographer in 2021.
Ruby Bridges is alive to see her walk to a seat in a school for an education denied, transformed into a VPs strut into chambers for a seat of power, long denied.
We have begun to diminish the moment by hurling insults of degradation and hatred like they did in 1964. Daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers are watching. How do we explain this to them?
The struggle of generations tilts the head upward, and widens the stride in a show of confidence 57 years in the making.
