Aux pères noirs - To Black Fathers
This AFR Art2U piece is influenced by a year of a pattern in American history. The death of young black fathers, gone too soon, too often, through the violence of guns and untethered law enforcement.
Inspired by George Floyd and his daughter, this toddler is peeking over the shoulder of her strong, present father. She reminds us of what is lost to every bullet, gun, injustice, and fear of this particular kind of father. Her one and only Dad.
Giclee Print, 22" x 19" fully framed in black molded composite wood, and under non-glare lass. In honor of the black dad.
